Pete scuba diving is fun!
The Pete the Cat books are such a great series for children to get into for beginng reading and are definitely worth the money. The structure is simple enough that children can pick up basic reading very easy and each novel always has a positive message behind it. As of this review, I can confirm that children of 3 and 4 years of age can read this book and will enjoy it.
My Kids Giggle Through The Whole Thing
This is a cute little story for early readers or young kids. Pete the cat goes on a scuba adventure looking for a seahorse but can't find one. Little does he know but the sea horse is following him around at all times. My kids giggled on each page as Pete can't find the seahorse that is tickling him on the foot. This is about right for a 1st grade reader. It isn't all phonetic 1 and 2 syllable words, but the words and sentences repeat and are pretty simple. We love Pete the Cat and this one is another early reader winner
Cute!
Pete the cat goes scubba diving and wants to see a seahorse. The fun part is that the seahorse is on every page but Pete does not see it. Little kids get very excited about finding the seahorse and trying to tell Pete it is right there. Personally i wish the animals were more accurately represented as seahorses rarely ever swim up high in open water out of the safety of sea grass etc. But I understand that was necessary to create enjoyment in the book for the kiddos.
We want to go on every Pete adventure!
We Adore Pete the Cat books at our house! This one is especially cute and my boy loves repeating the words. Great for teaching children to read simple words cute pictures fun story lines!
Finally a real first grade reader
Cute story will appeal to boys and girls. I got lucky considering Amazon is very misleading in their search engine. Our six year old can read this by himself and takes pride in his accomplishment. Highly recommend.

My kiddos love Pete the Cat and this little book was no different. Easy to read for small kids and beautiful pictures and detail. Lovely little story we all enjoyed at bedtime!
Kids love this!
Kids love Pete the Cat! Very fun to read and nice for learning with word repetition for increased word recognition. With the word repetition, kids don't get so frustrated and sustain attention. The illustrations are also great and help with word/concept identification.

Perfect for the kiddos
Such a cute book and written in a way the kids I teach can all understand, despite learning and language delays. I think it's perfect for 3-5 year olds. The pictures fill up whole pages, and the writing is definitely good for kids, with 1-3 short sentences on each page.
Fun.
Loved the book , this series is a must for pre schoolers and young kids it’s easy to understand and it helps them to clearly see the words for their understanding of words as well.
